Up The Creek campground in Moab has re-opened!
Up The Creek was formerly run by sister-in-law Kimberly Schappert. She re-married two years ago, "other things" took priority, and the campground was closed. Fortunately some good friends have come in to run the business. They are enjoying their first season this fall, making lots of tent campers very happy. Not much has changed, same walk-in only policy, no cars or RVs, great grassy sites, friendly folks running the joint.
We visited Moab last weekend and enjoyed beautiful crisp fall weather, stunning scenery, and marvelous riding conditions. The fairy shrimp in the desert potholes are bigger than we've ever seen and the vegetation is amazingly green for this time of year. Tree leaves are only now turning colors (Moab temps are a little behind C.B.) and the livin' is easy. With all the cold and snow lately you probably deserve one more good riding vacation before extracting the winter toys from storage.
